Heavenly Soil
All of our organic Matcha tea is grown in dense volcanic soil, free from pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers. Mikamatcha tea has been grown with home made composts for the maximum benefit of the plants. From Kagoshima, Kyushu, in Japan where the air, fog and soil all combined with the expert hands make the perfect Matcha green tea plant. Our tea is hand picked. L-theanine
Matcha green teas L-Theanine starts production in the roots of the plant. The L-theanine moves
into the stem and then the leaves of the plant. Mikamatcha’s tea is grown in the shade with no direct contact to the sunrays. The consistency of the L-Theanine stays intact with the amount and its properties keeping it potent to the maximum degree. Our analytical tests on the tea leaves show that Mikamatcha has an L-Theanine content higher than 4,000mg/100g. That is one of the best in the world. The reason for this higher amount of L-theanine is that the cultivating farmers wait for a period of 5 years instead of 3 which most other green tea farmers do allowing maximum rooting for the plants to gain the most nutrition.
